The Learning Accord Multi Academy Trust is the admissions authority for the school and determines the Admissions Policy for Skelmanthorpe Academy.
Applications for admission to the academy should be made between September 2020 and the closing date of 15th January 2021. Applications for admission to the school should be made using the Kirklees online application service. Kirklees Council administer the process of school place allocation and will only accept an online application. Please apply via www.kirklees.gov.uk/admissions.
Important - Is your child in a school nursery?
· A place in a school nursery does not give you a place in the Reception class at a school.
· Children who attend the school’s nursery do not receive guaranteed places or a higher priority for places in the school.
You must make a separate application for a place in a reception class.

Starting a new primary school in 2021
Kirklees organises admissions for young people starting a new primary school in September 2021, so that parents/carers only have to make one application to apply for a place at any primary school in Kirklees and/or any other local authority.
Kirklees Council will send all parents a single offer of a new school place on the National Offer Day – Thursday 16th April 2021. If the place offered is at an academy, free school, trust school or voluntary aided school or at a school in another local authority, Kirklees makes the offer on behalf of the admission authority for that school.
Parents who live in other council areas must apply through their local council.
