In Nursery, the door will be secured after the children have arrived at the start of the session. If you arrive late for any reason, please press the buzzer and make yourself known so staff can let you in. If the gate to Nursery is locked then please report to the School Office on the main school site, where a member of staff will assist you.
In the Main School, the doors will be opened at 08:50 when children are welcome to come in. We ask that children are not left in the playground any earlier than 08:40, except in an emergency.
After 09:00 all school doors and gates are secured for safety reasons. If you arrive after 09:00 please go to the main front entrance where you will be let in by the School Office.
School ends at 15:30. Parents are asked to wait in the playground. The children are brought to the door by their teachers. Once children have been dismissed, parents are welcome to step into school to speak to staff.
Bad Weather / Closure Information
Occasionally we do experience bad weather conditions such as heavy snow. Should weather conditions become so bad and you wish to withdraw your child from school the following points must be noted:
*You must contact school and inform us of your intention to collect your child from school.
*The children are to be collected from the school office.
*Should you designate a relative (including brother or sister) or another parent to collect your child YOU MUST INFORM SCHOOL of your intention.
NO CHILD WILL BE ALLOWED TO GO HOME WITH ANOTHER RELATIVE OR FRIEND'S PARENT OR FRIEND WITHOUT YOUR VERBAL OR WRITTEN PERMISSION (i.e. telephone call).
If school were to close you would be given notice. It is only in extreme circumstances school is closed. It is best to assume we are open until you hear directly from school or the radio. Announcements may be made on Radio Leeds, Huddersfield FM or Radio Aire. You may also receive a text message if there is someone available to do this in the circumstances. We will post updates on the school story on Class Dojo and school website.
