Welcome to Hamilton Class, home of Year 5. This year, our class teacher is Mr Wadsworth and working with him is Mrs Rowe. Here you'll find all the information you need to help your child progress, supporting the learning that goes on in class and also giving you a window into what they are doing throughout the year.

English We are often asked whether there are any books which we can recommend for pupils. The website: https://schoolreadinglist.co.uk shows lots of good choices for individual year groups.
We are using 'The Write Stuff' teaching approach from Jane Considine, which provides a scaffold for children to base their own writing. We make use of the 'writing rainbow' in order to plan and draft our writing. |

As a school, we follow the White Rose Maths schemes of learning; please find the overview for the year here, it will help you support your child in knowing what concepts are taught throughout the year.
